Frequently asked Questions
Electronics – Scouts will not have cell phones, music, or gaming devices at meetings, and campouts. Scouts in leadership roles may only use electronic devices, if needed, in a structured teaching capacity. Scouts in a leadership role may use electronic devices to aid in planning at designated times and at planning meetings.
Scout Supplied equipment:
All personal camping equipment
A Backpack or duffle to pack gear in
Rain gear
Mess Kit (plate, bowel, cup and silverware)
Personal toiletries
Lightweight sleep pad
sleeping bag (3 season best)
Flashlight or headlamp
Canteen or water bottle
Personal First aid kit
hiking boots
Troop Supplied Equipment
Tents (2-3 scouts per tent)
Patrol Chuck boxes with Pots pans and patrols cooking equipment
Troop does have some backpacking backpacks to loan out
Troop does have a large First aid kit
Cook stoves for each Patrol
Uniforms –
Class A Uniform: Approved green pants, Belt, BSA shirt, neckerchief and scout book
Class B uniform Scout shorts or pants and Troop t-shirt or another scout related t-shirt.
Class A to be worn:
All meetings unless otherwise stated
Court of honors
Traveling to and from scouting events
At certain times on Campouts and Summer Camp
Class B to be worn:
Campouts and informal activities
