Advancement in the Scouting America program is a personal journey for each scout, and not something anyone should be forced to do. Each Scouts Journey is different, while working to achieve the same skills and ranks.
Baden-Powell believed that if a Scout earned First Class that they had all the skills necessary to be successful in life. Less than 5% of all Scouts will achieve the rank of Eagle and that is ok.
Not reaching the rank of Eagle Scout is not a failure, it is normal. Troop 815 idealistically hopes that every one of our Scouts will reach the rank of eagle. We will actively help any scout who wants to achieve this goal, but we absolutely will not award any Scout credit for work they have not earned as laid out in the Scout Handbook and Guide to Advancement. Doing so goes against everything the program stands for.
